About the event
The Living Nativity scene was started in 1990 and is held at the First UMC Santa Barbara church annually. It is a physical representation to all in our community of what the Christmas season truly celebrates. Volunteers dress up to re-enact the beloved Christmas story of Jesus’s birth including Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the three wise kings, shepherds and angels. Recent years have expanded to include a petting zoo and small farm animals.
